Honey Layer Cake / Медовик (Slice)

A dessert known for its lengthy preparation time. Not to be confused with the Mille, Crepe cake, the Honey Layer cake consists of baked honey cookie layers instead of crepes and can be kept in room temperature. In between layers, you can taste our house-made caramel cream

While the thin layers harden shortly after coming out of the oven, the moisture of the filling softens it again over time.

Legend has it that the first Medovik Honey Cake was created in the 1820's by a personal chef for the wife of Russia's Czar Alexander I.
